- 2.1 Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By ordering (as defined below) you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- 2.2 Where you communicate on behalf of a company / organisation rather than as an individual, you promise that you have authority to act on behalf of that entity.

4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights on our website. All such rights are reserved.
You may print off a copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our site for your personal reference and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to material posted on our site.
You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text.
Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of material on our site must always be acknowledged.
You must not use any part of the materials on our site for commercial purposes without obtaining a licence to do so from us or our licensors.
If you print off, copy or download any part of our site in breach of these terms of use, your right to use our site will cease immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.
5. AGENCY – PLEASE READ:
- 5.1 We act as a booking agent for independent dry cleaners. The terms and conditions comprise both a contract between you and theartofironing.com ltd us regarding the use of our Website and (2) a separate direct contract between you and the Service Provider concerned (and not with us) regarding supply of Services to you.
- 5.2 While we may attempt to assist with resolution of any complaint or dispute, you acknowledge that any legal recourse against the Service Provider arising from the Services whether for breach of contract or otherwise is against the Service Provider and not against us, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this agreement or on our Website.
- 5.3 We do not accept legal responsibility for any acts or omissions of Service Providers in relation the Services.
- 5.4 Where we describe Service Providers as “vetted” or similar, we are promising only that we have carried out certain checks as specified on our Website at the time you make a Booking and that those checks did not reveal any cause for concern. You acknowledge that in carrying out these checks we are reliant on information supplied by third parties. We cannot guarantee that that information is accurate. Nor can we guarantee that the Service Providers are otherwise suitable for your purposes. You use Service Providers at your risk.
6. LIABILITY
- 6.1 The customer understands that there is inherent risk in cleaning and there is potential for clothing and related items to get lost or damaged. theartofironing.com ltd will do its best to ensure situations like this do not happen, and in the instances they do happen, will work with the customer to rectify the situation. Without prejudice to the foregoing, and insofar as allowed under mandatory applicable law, Our service providers liability shall in no event exceed an amount of 15 times the cost of cleaning the item or £500.
- 6.2 The customer is responsible for removing collar stiffeners and cuff links from shirts and ensuring all pockets are empty. The customer is also responsible for removing any personal items.
- 6.3 The Customer is responsible for ensuring all items given for a service wash can be washed and tumble dried.
- 6.4 Complaints must be received within 48 hours of delivery. Before any claim for compensation can be processed for any damage to an item(s), the cleaning team must be given the opportunity to collect the item(s) and attempt to reverse the damage.
- 6.5 The customer’s items will be held for no longer than 3 months. After the 3 month period the customer’s items will be given to charity.
7. COMPLAINTS
- 7.1 You agree to communicate any complaints to us and not the driver. You agree to comply with our complaint and other policies on our Website as may be varied from time to time.
- 7.2 If you have any complaints, please contact us via the contact details shown on our Website or write to our address shown at the start of these terms and conditions.
8. TRANSFER
- 8.1 We may transfer all or part of our rights or duties under this agreement provided we take reasonable steps to ensure that your rights under this agreement are not prejudiced. As this agreement is personal to you, you may not transfer any of your rights or duties under it without our prior written consent.
9. PRICES

Prices include any applicable VAT or other sales tax unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time.
10. REFERRAL PROGRAMME
- 10.1 Eligibility: This Promotion is open to selected theartofironing users (‘you/user’) aged 18 or over who have completed at least 1 theartofironingorder.
- 10.2 To take part: Simply share your unique code with a friend or relative (aged 18 or over) who you think would benefit from the theartofironing service (referral). For every person that you have referred, who then goes on to place a theartofironing order using that unique link, you will receive an amount in theartofironing credits as stated in the promotional materials. The friend or relative must not live at the same address as you.
- 10.3 Promotion Period: You will be able to submit referrals from January 2016 and the promotion will continue until revoked by us.
- 10.4 theartofironing credits are subject to the usual order conditions and the above Voucher Terms and Conditions. A minimum total spend of £20.00/€25.00 is applicable and credits must be redeemed within six calendar months. There will be a processing time of up to seven days after the date of a successful referral before credits will be applied to your account. Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable.
- 10.5 There is a maximum of 50 of names that you can recommend, subject to the above criteria. We reserve the right to change the maximum number of referrals at any time.
- 10.6 Any attempt to manipulate the system and use of credits by use of bulk entry via third parties or syndicates, macros, ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means (including systems which can be programmed to enter), will render the credits invalid and may potentially lead to that account being closed down.
- 10.7 Use of Data: Before you submit the name and email of anyone to us, please ensure that you have obtained their permission. We will use the personal details of the friend or relative supplied for the administration of this promotion and introductory emails about theartofironing products and services.
- 10.8 If for any reason a credit becomes invalid due to technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the theartofironing, theartofironing reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to cancel, suspend or modify the Promotion and not re-issue any additional credits affected customers.
- 10.9 theartofironing reserves the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid redemptions including, without limitation, to require further verification as to the identity, age, and other relevant details of a customer.
- 10.10 By redeeming the credits, customers agree to release theartofironing from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Promotion (except death or personal injury caused by the Promoter’s negligence, for fraud, or otherwise as prohibited by law).
- 10.11 No responsibility is accepted for referrals that are lost, corrupted or delayed or as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
- 10.12 Unique codes should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes. This means that you can share your invite link with your personal connections via social media where you are the primary content owner. Public distribution on sites where you are a contributor but not the primary content owner (e.g., Wikipedia, coupon websites) is not allowed. Promoting your referral code via Search Engine Marketing (e.g., AdWords/Yahoo/Bing) is also not allowed.
- 10.13 By taking part in this promotion you will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.
- 10.14 This promotion will be governed by the laws of England and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
11. CARD PAYMENTS AND FRAUD
- 11.1 Payment for the service must be received prior to delivery of an order.
- 11.2 We reserve the right to delay delivery of clothes should payment have not been received due to a card payment failing.
- 11.3 Where evidence reasonably suggests initial payment was made fraudulently we reserve the right to consider payment as not being received.
- 11.4 Where evidence reasonably suggests that payment may have been made fraudulently the company reserves the right to request a bank transfer as opposed to card payment.
